  2. Sarah Stuart Says:

    Hi Sarah! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am a dreamer since I know myself. All my life I have been having ideas about lots of different things. Sometimes I day dream for hours having ideas for projects or life. Usually my ideas pop up at the time I am engaged with those things in my life. However, what I really enjoy the most in life is to make them come true.
I am a graduate student in science, meteorology and I am concluding that I do not want to make research in my life. I like people and my heart is with them. I like communication, action, making things happen, this is how i feel useful to the world. Anyway, let’s go to the ideas!!!

I have been doing lots of different things in my life, I took fashion classes, I love shoes, pastel painting classes, dancing, sports, and all kinds of arts, theatre, and so on.

One of the ideas I had while taking a fashion class last semester was to make a big and nice fashion show just right on the beach. I imagined the catwalk, where it would be and how it would be made. I have everything in my head. Then people could be sitting down on the beach and watching the fashion show. I study the weather so predicting the best day to make it come true would be a part of it too! ๐Ÿ˜€

One of my biggest dreams is to be a part of a business or company or whatever in which people would stop by and tell me what they don’t enjoy in their lives, and I would have the idea, the way of solving it and then me and my company would make it happen. I think from the outside sometimes we are able to see other’s lives with more clarity. Maybe because we are not entangled in life’s emotions or circumstances.

Another idea I have is regarding selling shoes. A store could make a catwalk show for the people who actually is going to buy the shoes. I know all the details about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I study the weather so I have other ideas regarding weather and clothes and a TV show on that.

I also have other ideas regarding arts and life.

I can share with you the details of the ideas, if you like them. I have all the ideas in my head and I have imagined how to make them become a reality. Some action details about a situation I can only predict when I am actually making or trying to make it a reality, but I am a very versatile person since early age. We can never predict everything… ๐Ÿ™‚

I have been making the dreams in my life come true and I had a big hold about my studies for the past two years, but now I am willing to change for something else related with people. That’s where I want to be in life. With people.

So, right now I am at a point of change in my life. I would like to help people with my ideas. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Hi Sarah,

I’ll keep this brief as no one wants to read a three page letter. Let’s see, I do social media marketing for a consulting firm here in Sweden.

In my free time, I own a web site called Pop Syndicate (www.popsyndicate.com) that reviews movies, books, comic books, DVDs, television, etc.

This weekend I’m going to try to work on a blog I’ve been wanting to start.

I love art, reading and movies. I do all three frequently but not as often as I would like to.

You can find me all over the place. Feel free to contact me any time.

  13. Hi Sarah,

Briefly, I am currently an eboutique owner that has just launched my fair trade children’s clothing boutique, Hippos Toes. Prior to my eboutique my background is in architectural lighting design. My graduate studies were done in lighting and my undergrad in interior design. My husband and I
own an architectural lighting practice where we specialize in commercial lighting design. I still own the business but
since the birth of my son have changed my focus somewhat. I am also an educator, I teach lighting at an art school in their interior design program.

The reason I have launched Hippos Toes is because my husband and I traveled to South Africa a few years ago and I was touched by the disparity in incomes of the local people there, particularly the women. Many of them have little income opportunities other than housekeepers and
nannies. I discovered a clothing manufacturer that pays the women a fair wage and they work in very nice working conditions to make the clothing. I felt like this was a way to make a difference so I was determined to sell their products in the US. I think the clothes are adorable, I dress my son in them and I am sure other’s will feel the same about the clothes once they have an opportunity to see them .

So I still teach, I still do lighting design and I have the online boutique as well, in addition to my 20 month old son. Still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I’m a creative person that has a ton of ideas. I also have ideas for several products but finding the time and the capital to get them to market is very daunting.

Please feel free to check out my site, http://hippostoes.com and my blog http://hippostoes.blogspot.com.

    I’m also on twitter: http://twitter.com/hippostoes

Thinking about Facebook but haven’t made it that far yet.

    Hey Sarah,
Wow, what a fabulous idea!! Never realized how hard it is to talk about myself…well here it goes!
I gew up in northern NJ, went to private school until h.s I think the uniforms I had to wear may be the reason I am obsessed with fashion now! I moved to Naples, FL for 2 years of HS(long story) moved back to my home in NJ for the last 2 years of HS( even longer story). I went to Wagner college originally majoring in Music becasue I wanted to be the next Britney Spear, that is of course before Britney Spears was Britney, which means she would have wanted to be the next Dawn. I realized that if that didn’t happen, what would I do so I chnaged my major to business, I knew I could always sing, I didn’t need a major for that.
I also always, wanted my very own boutique to sell all my favorite things out of. I would spend hours writing ideas and drawing how I wanted my store to look, I had it all figured out by time I graduated. It took me 2 years out of college to make my dream come true….www.belladawn.com!
Not in my wildest dreams could I tell the stories of the next 5 years, owning Bella Dawn, lets just say the very first month I was open Fox 5 news came to do an interview on a product I was selling. But of course nothing comes with out ups and downs, except I tend to live by the Law of the Universe, the law of attraction, and what you think about most you will receive…thoughts become things. So I refuse to ever think a negative thought. Anyway, here I am living my dreams, and taking along all the good people that have helped me get so far. http://Www.belladawn.com opened more doors that I can mention, I have had the opportunity to expand into image and fashion consulting, giving expert fashion advice for magazines like Instlye, US, Teen, Cosmo and…
I am working on National TV expert, next, yaaay!! So that is me in a small, tiny, little nut shell. You can find me in a few places like:

    Hi Sarah,

Los Angeles has been my home for the past 16 years. I graduated UCLA with an int’l econ major and decided not to take the banking route. I’ve always been a person who believed that there are many ways of accomplishing the same task, and would rather take the road less traveled. So naturally, I like adventure and trying new things. Take working out for example – i’ve got a blackbelt in taekwondo, used to do bike tours, finished a triathlon, took yoga for a year, surfed for awhile… i think you get the point.

Now, I’m the managing editor at a start-up that will allow users to mix and match products to create realistic outfits. Think “clueless” with editorials and the ability to save and share with friends on Facebook and Myspace.

Being involved in a startup means that I have multiple tasks even with a given title. So, I’m trying to learn more about online PR, social marketing and etc. But, I’ve also realized that all these social networking tools provide a medium of expression and social interaction. It has open up a whole new world for me, meeting people and communicating with them just online.

I’m a twitter noob, and i think there’s alot I can learn from you!

    Hello Sarah,

Weโ€™ve corresponded a few times on twitter. I was born & raised in Chicago & have been privileged from my high school career and beyond from those who have had a genuine interest and high expectations for their students. Through scholarships Iโ€™ve earned I am now finishing my undergrad at a university here in the downtown area (hint: Big East Conference) majoring in business administration with a minor in management. Iโ€™m a huge sports fan & was privileged to see the business perspective of the professional sporting industry. I am a founding partner of a company that will be launching next year and enjoy broadening my ideas and connecting with others. I also just started blogging after connecting with others on twitter!

If you have any questions/comments or would like to view our sites, donโ€™t hesitate to email or @ me on twitter.

We’re having a lot of fun using twitter: http://www.twitter.com/GirlfriendCeleb
We also have a public calendar on Google Calendar (called Girlfriend Celebrations) filled with ideas, reminders and prompts for making the most of your girlfriend time.
