Let’s connect!

Connecting good people with other good people since 1980

We September 17, 2008

So I love using social media, right? I’m connecting with people on a plethora of social networks. I’m even finding ways to streamline my social media usage (I’ll give a shout out to ping.fm). Here’s the thing, I’m only as good as my network. It’s my mission to connect people, but I can only do that if people are connected to me. I’m working on it, trust me. I guess what I’m really asking for is your help. You can pimp out (thought I’d sound cool here) my information to as many (or as little) of your social network as you’d like. I mean the great people who are “experts” and “mavens” or those who’d like to be. While I can’t promise great things, I can do my little part in the world to keep connecting those who wish to be connected.

    Hi Sarah,

First I’d like to apologize for this unsolicited message. I bumped into your blog through your latest tweet on Twitter. You seem to be very into social media so I decided to email you.

My name is George and I am one of the founders of a new service quub.com. We’re a startup that came out of the research lab at UC Irvine. We’ve built a system that is able to predict where people are and what they’re doing, thereby making updating status a 1-click process. Think of it as an automated Twitter. We think this type of automation is the key to making microblogging and mobile presence possible for the mainstream public.

quub.com is still rough around the edges but I would like to invite some people active in social media to see if we’re on the right track. You seem to be the perfect candidate. Please let me know if you are interested in trying it out.

    Thanks for your time!

    Sincerely,
    George Ruan
